Club Information

SPORTING LOUGHBOROUGH FC

Sporting Loughborough FC was founded in 2018-2019 season with its first full competitive season due in the 2019-2020 league. Our club moto is Fortuna Causam Dedicatio, which translates as Dedication, Motivation, Success.

We are a junior football club which brings football to Loughborough & surrounding areas for children of all ages, which is not only a place for players to have fun and develop, but also to progress into more competitive football.

We are excited by this new venture, and with coaches coming over to join Sporting Loughborough FC, we will have over 150 years coaching experience, ranging from Level 1 in Football to UEFA B qualifications. We have a current club total players from Mini Academy, through junior age groups, inclusive, ladies and walking football plus senior teams of around 300 members, with this figure growing daily. All teams are capped to ensure that parents and players get the correct consistency and concentration of coaching for their children, but also that each player can enjoy the same amount of game time. Too many clubs fill teams with countless players but the fatal flaw is that children don’t get the right level of coaching, and are often side-lined at games.

We aim to offer equal football to all.

Mini Kickers

Our Mini Kickers Academy runs alongside Sporting Loughborough FC, offering fun football to all kids from ages 4 (reception) to 9, preparing for competitive football.

Our mascot "Striker" was named by our Mini Kickers players.

Inclusive Philosophy

Our philosophy and club vision is to enable players from all backgrounds, gender, and ethnicity to be able to play grass roots football within Loughborough and the surrounding areas in an environment which is safe and quality.

Respect

All parents and players sign up to the FA RESPECT codes of conduct which we all have a part to play within the club. We feel this raises the bar for potential clubs parents may wish to look at for their children, as the FA RESPECT laws are available on our website and are emailed to every parent whose child has signed on.

Developing Players and Coaches

We pride ourselves in offering the highest standard of coaching possible for our players with our structured coaching program which evolves as the players grow and develop. We also push our coaches to be the best they can be by offering courses, qualifications and CPD.

Charnwood College Partnership

All parents and players sign up to the FA RESPECT codes of conduct which we all have a part to play within the club. We feel this raises the bar for potential clubs parents We are very proud Partners with Charnwood College and DRET (David Ross Educational Trust). This means we have a strong bond with the sports facility and management at Charnwood College, and have a specific ground we can call home, hence the sign outside Charnwood College proudly states “The Home of Sporting Loughborough FC”. We have worked extremely hard as a partnership to improve football availability and profile within Loughborough and ensure Sporting Loughborough FC is the primary club at Charnwood College should players or School children be looking for a club to play for. We have strong links with the 6th Form Academy at Charnwood and even have a couple of players within their structure, so again the College benefits from the input from our coaching staff. We are looking to have a presence at Parents Evenings at Charnwood College to give the children a possibility to join our club on the night, and even for parents to get involved from volunteering to coaching. We will be looking at hosting Educational Seminars at Charnwood College for players and look to provide players with a pathway to join our coaching staff and follow other avenues such as becoming a referee etc. In time we will be looking to host football tournaments and football taster sessions/ fun days at Charnwood College too. wish to look at for their children, as the FA RESPECT laws are available on our website and are emailed to every parent whose child has signed on.
